Picking Paint...

We're getting ready to start working on the cabinets, we picked up all of the supplies for the cleaning, sanding and priming steps last night. I found a good tutorial with lots of information:
http://www.squidoo.com/paintingcabinets. We'll start this weekend.

Until then, I'm trying to pick out the wall color for the kitchen and living room.  I think a gray, greige, or light blue would be really pretty with the white cabinets in the kitchen and our living room furniture. Here are some of the ones that I like and some inspiration pictures.

Behr: Sterling
SW: Aloof Gray

Behr: Light French Gray
SW: Versatile Gray

SW: Samovar Silver
SW6205 Comfort Gray
SW: Comfort Gray

Behr: Silver Drop
Behr: Dolphin Fin

  1. I love gray too! We closed on our home just 9 days before ya'll did, and we did some repainting last weekend. Our master bathroom was this Easter egg spring green color (ew) and we went with Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray. It's lighter than the gray rooms in your inspiration pictures but it is a lovely color. Good luck!

  2. I love the smoke color you chose to paint your kitchen! So nice. We went with SW paint colors for our house too.

  3. I'm curious which paint you chose for the kitchen/living room?
It looks more blue than gray on the internet :)
I'm currently trying to find a soft/light blue for our bedroom!

  4. We ended up selecting Benjamin Moore Smoke. It definitely looks more light blue than gray, but I think it's a nice mix.
